Candidate Statement -
After we Americans grant our country its rightful place in our priorities,
America First, we must translate that philosophy to the grassroots level.
As a candidate for Alderman, Central City Council, I want to place the
interests of our City above all others. Our City is comprised of many
citizens with histories which go back to the Welsh and Cornish gold mining
days of the 1860's. Our mayor's ancestors were pioneers and my great-great grandfather was a mountain man. Our City hosts one of the oldest operas in
the country and St. James Methodist church is the oldest Protestant
congregation in the state. This rich heritage, as well as our modern
culture, is what makes us special. Fiscal and economic development must be
compatible with our values, history and beliefs. Growth for the sake of
growth alone is not a part of our comprehensive plan for the City. As
Alderman, I plan to work only for the good of the City, its businesses, and
for the spiritual and physical needs of the citizens.
