Candidate Statement -

Ed Moses, lifelong resident of Iowa, has anounced his candidacy for the post of County Supervisor of Marion County. Ed is best known in the area for his years of political activism and his efforts to remind the Iowa State Legislators and Governor that we do have a state Constitution that needs to be followed and not ignored. The key issue in Ed's race for County Supervisor is his opposition to the repeated attempts at establishing a local option sales tax in Marion County. A second issue which may come into play is his opposition to efforts by certain townships within the area to extend their "city limits." This is seen as another attempt to increase the tax base from which these townships can take in more taxes to cover their forecasted shortfalls in revenue.
