Candidate Statement -
Politically, Dan describes himself as conservative on social issues in that he is pro-life, pro-2nd Amendment rights, and believes government should work within the constraints of the U.S. Constitution. On economic issues, Dan is prone to take a pro-Labor stance. Dan has been married 14 years to the former Fawn Kae (Miller) and they reside in Spirit Lake, Iowa. In their spare time both Dan and Fawn enjoy camping and fishing.
Dan is a member of the National Rifle Association, the American Radio Relay League, the Iowa Great Lakes Amateur Radio Club, and the New Testament Baptist Church in Spirit Lake. He is a tireless campaigner for smaller government, 2nd Amendment rights, protection of privacy, and protection of 1st Amendment Free Speech. Dan graduated from Arnolds Park High School and has received certifications and diplomas from Northwest Iowa Technical College as well as from Iowa Lakes Community College in Emmetsburg.
