Minutes of the Operating Committee of the America First Party

Tuesday, July 1, 2003

BE IT REMEMBERED that the Operating Committee of the America First Party met on Tuesday, July 1, 2003 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, pursuant to the previous resolution of the Operating Committee.

The Secretary called the roll of Operating Committee members:

Present:

• John Pittman Hey of Mississippi, Secretary
• Trey Golmon of Mississippi, Ballot Access Committee Chairman

The Secretary noted that all other members of the Operating Committee had resigned.

A quorum being present, the meeting was called to order by the Secretary at 9:08 p.m. EDT.

Mr. Golmon opened the meeting in prayer.

The Secretary reminded the members that he had previously circulated draft minutes of the June 3 meeting of the Operating Committee. He moved the adoption of the June 3 minutes. His motion was seconded by Mr. Golmon and adopted by unanimous vote.

The Secretary reported the final results of the Declaration required under Article III Section 5 of the Party Constitution. The Operating Committee had previously adopted a Resolution invoking Article III Section 5, and the Secretary had sent certified letters requesting the members of the National Committee to provide the required Declarations.

The deadline for receipt of the signed Declarations was June 29, 2003. The Secretary reported receiving 48 notices from National Committee members as required. However, 26 of those members had since tendered written, signed resignations from the National Committee.

The Secretary moved the adoption of the following Resolution:

Resolution Memorializing the Results of the Request for Declaration of Intent from Members of the National Committee

Whereas, on May 13, 2003, the Operating Committee of the America First Party invoked Article III Section 5 of the Party Constitution requiring National Committee members to submit signed Declarations of their intent to continue to serve on the National Committee; and

Whereas, the National Secretary notified the National Committee members of the requirement and provided them with blank Declarations and return envelopes, such materials being mailed by United States Certified Postal Mail on May 30, 2003; and

Whereas, the deadline for receipt of such signed Declarations has now passed;

Now therefore be it resolved by the Operating Committee of the America First Party:

That the Operating Committee has received the required signed Declarations from the following members of the National Committee: Keri Gray, Vince Wallgren, Larry Carroll, Tim Lohrmann, John Clark, Virginia Clark, Nancy Blankenship, Greg Roberts, Michael O'Brian, John P. Hey, Trey Golmon, Brad Maurer, Ward Chorpenning, John Francis, Jim Bunosky, David Wilkinson, Chris Oliver, Patrick Wilson, John Aldridge, Bill Hunt, Larry Lamb, and Frank Hackl; and

That the Operating Committee has received the required responses from the following additional members of the National Committee, but each has submitted a written, signed resignation from the National Committee: John Verser, John Spooner, Wanda Weatherford, Helen Leka, George Radzwillas, Gene Lovell, Diane Lovell, Phil Anderson, Martin McClellan, Melanie Wooten, Michael Beckham, Joseph Hoffman, William Sailor, Daniel Sailor, Lisa Sailor, Thomas White, Daniel Morrison, Jeff Plott, Richard Rossillo, Michael Illions, Jim Arft, Sam Cross, George Stryker, JD Jones, Warren Baldwin, and James Edwards; and

That James Pace and Kimberly DeMarco Illions were not required to return such Declarations because they were admitted to the National Committee after May 30, 2003, and both Pace and Illions have tendered written signed resignations from the National Committee; and

That in accordance with the Constitution of the America First Party, the following named individuals comprise the entirety of the America First National Committee as of July 1, 2003: Keri Gray, Vince Wallgren, Larry Carroll, Tim Lohrmann, John Clark, Virginia Clark, Nancy Blankenship, Greg Roberts, Michael O'Brian, John P. Hey, Trey Golmon, Brad Maurer, Ward Chorpenning, John Francis, Jim Bunosky, David Wilkinson, Chris Oliver, Patrick Wilson, John Aldridge, Bill Hunt, Larry Lamb, and Frank Hackl.

Mr. Golmon seconded the Resolution. The Resolution was adopted by unanimous vote.

Mr. Hey moved the adoption of a Resolution calling a National Committee meeting. His motion was seconded by Mr. Golmon. The Resolution reads as follows:

Resolution calling for a meeting of the America First National Committee

Resolved by the Operating Committee of the America First National Committee that a meeting of the America First National Committee be convened by teleconference at 9 pm EDT on Tuesday, July 8, 2003.

The Resolution was adopted by unanimous vote.

There being no further business, upon motion made by Mr. Golmon, seconded by Mr. Hey, and adopted by unanimous vote, the meeting was adjourned.
