The Chairman delivered his report. He has made several contacts with potential candidates and possible activists, exploring new methods for making contact with such like-minded individuals. He has also been working on drafts of possible platform planks, written various other letters and articles, and worked on Public Relations Committee issues. He also described recent press releases sent out by the party.
The Secretary reminded the members that he had previously circulated draft minutes for the October 30, 2006 meeting of the Operating Committee. Mr. Hey moved the adoption of the minutes as published. His motion was seconded by Mr. Eller, and adopted by unanimous vote.
The Secretary reported that he has completed the move of the party's web services. In addition, the introductory newsletter has been submitted to the printer and the proofs have been received.
The Treasurer reported that the party's bank balance is $5,297.61. There are no outstanding invoices due at this time.
Mr. Fleharty delivered a Ballot Access Committee report. The Committee is working on consolidating the data it has collected to make it easily digestible to potential candidates.
Mr. Eller delivered the Finance Committee report. The committee continues to research the issue of coffee mugs bearing the party logo, the main problem being the need to have them made in America.
Mr. Browning delivered the Party Building Committee report. His vacation is concluded. He reported some party building activities in his own state party in Florida. He described several other promising contacts with potential activists.
Mr. Hey reported that the Rules Committee is setting up interviews with two new National Committee designees.
Because of repeated telephone system and connection failures, the meeting lost quorum, and the Chairman therefore declared the meeting adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
