BE IT REMEMBERED that the Operating Committee of the America First Party met on Monday, October 29, 2007 at 9:00 p.m. East Coast Time, pursuant to the previous resolution of the Operating Committee.
The Chairman led the members in the Pledge of Allegiance. Mr. White delivered the invocation.
The Secretary called the roll of Operating Committee members:
Present:
- Jon Hill of Massachusetts, Chairman
- John Hey of Mississippi, National Secretary and Treasurer
- J. C. Schweingrouber of Ohio, Public Relations Committee Chairman
- Tom White of Massachusetts, Candidates Committee Chairman
Absent:
- Martin McClellan of Florida, Vice-chairman
- Mike Fleharty of Ohio, Ballot Access Committee Chairman

A quorum being present, the meeting was called to order by the Chairman at 9:22 p.m.
Mr. Schweingrouber moved the adoption of the standard Agenda. Mr. White seconded the motion. The Agenda was adopted by unanimous vote.
The Chairman delivered his report. He has been handling issues relating to Party Building business.
The Secretary reminded the members that he had previously circulated draft minutes for the October 8, 2007 meeting of the Operating Committee. Mr. Hey moved the adoption of the minutes as published. His motion was seconded by Mr. Schweingrouber. The minutes were adopted by unanimous vote.
The newspapers have all been mailed. The address corrections are coming back in and being entered into the database. There are still about 400 copies available for bulk order. The fundraising letter is well into production and should be mailed next week.
The Treasurer reported that the party's bank balance is $ 5,239.30. There are no unpaid invoices at this time. A discussion took place regarding the responses received so far to the most recent newspaper.
Mr. Hill reported that the Finance Committee approved the fundraising letter, which is now being sent out by the Secretary. In addition, a matching contribution form was approved and printed.
The Finance Committee discussed getting more coffee mugs produced, but the sense was that they do not yield significant revenue to support building the party.
Mr. Hill led a short discussion of Partybuilding Committee business. The committee has met repeatedly to discuss organizing committee business and management matters. A discussion of party building data access issues was held. The Rules Committee chairman will be meeting with the Partybuilding Committee to discuss proposing possible modifications to the database access rules for the National Committee's consideration.
Mr. Schweingrouber delivered the Public Relations Committee report. The Committee met last Saturday to discuss article topics for the next issue of the newspaper.
Mr. Hey reported that the Rules Committee is presently on hiatus.
A time of general discussion took place.
There being no further business, on motion made by Mr. Hey, seconded by Mr. Schweingrouber, and adopted by unanimous vote, the meeting was adjourned at 10:17 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
