GOP Ignores Immigration -- AFP Grows
Boulder, CO - The America First Party continues its rapid growth, while
the Republican National Committee is ignoring a leading concern of its
base and all Americans who want a safe and secure America. Party
leaders attribute this rapid growth to the party's strong and
consistent message, the betrayal of American values by the two-party
duopoly, and the grassroots activism of party members. This spring, the
party elected its first public official, who ran in Massachusetts on a
platform emphasizing the problems caused by illegal immigration and
promoting a consistent and conservative pro-family message.
National Chair Dan Charles stated, "The AFP's message is resonating
with the American people. The Party recognizes that the first step to
protect our culture and our nation is to secure the borders and
implement a rational immigration policy. Republicans cared about this
issue once. The grassroots of that party still does. But, its corrupt
leadership has made it clear they don't anymore. They don't care what
their base holds dear."
This week, the GOP's convention website offered a page soliciting
comments from its members and the general public for the Republican's
Platform Committee. The page includes a list of issues titled, "What is
most important to you?" Immigration is not on the list.
Mr. Charles continued, "Twenty years after President Reagan reminded us
that any nation that fails to secure its borders will soon cease to
exist, the GOP leadership is promoting amnesty for illegal immigrants
and blackballing candidates and elected officials who seek serious
immigration reform. While our culture, language and the jobs of
American citizens are threatened by open borders, the greatest impact
of this deliberate negligence is on our national security and the
safety of the American people."
"Transnational terrorists have made their intensions known," added Mr.
Charles. "They will infiltrate our country through our porous borders
and attack our nation's people and economy, like they did nearly three
years ago, killing thousands and causing more than one trillion dollars
in damage to the US economy. The failure of both Democrats and
Republicans to secure the borders is criminal. They send our troops to
die in unconstitutional wars for the benefit of foreign peoples and UN
mandates, while they emasculate the Bill of Rights. Yet, they invite
our enemies to live among us."
People who care about this country are helping to build a third party
that is viable and can effectively defeat the mind-numbingly stupid and
anti-American policies of the Democrats and Republicans. They are
joining the America First Party in droves, with members in 46 states
already. The Party's website continues to be a popular destination for
Americans sick of the "say one thing, do another" parties, averaging
200,000 visitors a month.
Mr. Charles concluded, "The America First Party is also promoting
trade, tax, and fiscal policies that focus on what is best for all the
American people, not just those who can make large contributions. We
are committed to the traditional values that are the cornerstone of our
nation and its Constitution, and a foreign policy that screams,
'Independence Forever.'"
