Abortion Leads to Nuclear War
Boulder, CO - It is the 34th anniversary of that sad day when respect for the sanctity of innocent human life was cast aside by the Supreme Court. Since the Roe vs. Wade decision, about 50 million have been "terminated," destroying a generation of Americans.
Our Founding Fathers knew that all men are created equal and that they are endowed with "unalienable rights," among those being the Right to Life. The Declaration of Independence recognizes the right to life, and that it originates with God, not man.
The Republican Party, despite its recent dominance of Congress, has failed to stem the tide of bloodshed. Since Roe vs. Wade, Republican appointees have always constituted the Supreme Court majority, and yet the court has maintained its support for Roe. The Right to Life Act, which the Supreme Court has indicated would presage the overturn of the Roe decision, has languished in the Republican-controlled Congress since 2001. The history of this sordid saga demonstrates that the Republican Party is not pro-life.
"Abortion is one of the greatest evils," stated National Chairman Jonathan Hill. "The abortion movement has undermined a basic element of civilized society -- the principle that all innocent human life should be protected. Unfortunately, this diminishment of respect for human dignity has a ripple effect: it fosters violence within families, the local community, and nations. The philosophy behind abortion on demand has affected our national character, and this can have a subtle influence on foreign policy. As Mother Teresa of Calcutta said, 'abortion leads to nuclear war.'"
"It is abhorrent that abortion supporters choose to hide behind the term 'choice' to mask their goal of destroying unborn children and promoting immoral behavior without responsibility," added J.C. Schweingrouber, AFP Public Relations Chair.
The America First Party recognizes that life begins at conception and continues until natural death. Doctors should be reminded that when treating a pregnant woman, they have two patients - the mother and the unborn baby. We support the overturning of Roe vs. Wade and support the protection of the right to life, regardless of age or state of gestation.
